Book Review: To Sir With Love

To Sir With LoveTo Sir With Love by E.R. Braithwaite
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

the book is the author's experience of the first seven/eight months of teaching at an East London school. the writing is to the point and crisp. the book talks about respecting each person as an individual and that if you want respect, you need to give respect first.

  1. I came upon the movie before the book and both are equally good. You are right, the book is an important lesson in upholding individual dignity. Relevant even now, especially in our country, where apart from a privileged few, majority of the population are considered as collective embarrassment, giving little value to the dignity of life.
